Summary: "Detrás del muro fue un proyecto que se presentó a lo largo del Malecón habanero durante la XI bienal de La Habana, donde la diversidad y calidad de las obras presentó un paréntesis en el transcurso de las intervenciones públicas durante este tipo de eventos al presentar artistas de otras latitudes confrontándose sus preocupaciones con los artistas cubanos que viven en la isla y más allá. Fue un proyecto que, a pesar de las muchas contradicciones institucionales, le ganó al público por estar en el “lugar más democrático de todos los cubanos.” Este volumen, que empezó con un pequeño catálogo, ya es un libro que nos ayuda a dar que pensar gracias a los grandes textos que cuentan la historia del arquitecto del malecón Mario Coyula por un lado, y el ensayo sobre Elvia Rosa, por la otra, que cada vez que escribe, nos da una lección sobre el sentido de la crítica, con una metáfora hermosa que nos lleva a mirar hacia adentro."
